Dear Alex,

<table align="right" border="0" cellpadding="10" cellspacing="1" width="10%"> <tbody> <tr> <td> <table bgcolor="#00675a" border="0" cellpadding="4"> <tbody> <tr> <td> http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/o/2167/images/blast_images/2008/jaguar_byrobinsilver_250.jpg (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=Xe%2BCeP6mprxjkBSON972vHM2MHFcMHzm)
Stimulate me! (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=mh%2FKGBMbZtCsTFvx2jP%2Ba3M2MHFcMHzm)

</td> </tr> </tbody> </table> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> What are you spending your "economic stimulus" check on? Before plunking down cash for a flat screen TV, consider stimulating (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=ZqITwp32EBZZLvdx28vmlnM2MHFcMHzm) the recovery of the endangered jaguar instead. The Bush administration isn't giving jaguars any breaks this tax season; it is doing everything possible to drive them out of the United States forever.
First it refused to protect the jaguar's habitat. Then it suspended all environmental laws in order to build a wall that will block jaguar migration.
And now, in a first for the history books, it has canceled the U.S. jaguar recovery program, declaring the permanent loss of jaguars from the U.S. to be inconsequential.
You won't be surprised to hear we've hauled the administration into court to reverse these terrible decisions. But lawsuits are expensive, so we've set up a Jaguar Legal Defense Fund to pay for the case. We need your help to raise $100,000 by June 30th (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=rzWqdg80oSeGtkEuGv%2B2cnM2MHFcMHzm).
El Tigre, as the old-timers called it, used to roam from Monterey Bay, California to the Appalachian Mountains. It was brutally hunted for a century before the last female was shot in Arizona in 1963.
In recent years jaguars have been making their way back to the southwestern borderlands. But they won't succeed without a federal recovery plan, habitat protection, a reintroduction campaign, and your help.
Please consider donating all or part of your "economic stimulus" rebate to save the jaguar (http://salsa.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=aiZBdIfXSLBs7GM7sWdFf3M2MHFcMHzm). It may be best wisest investment you make this year.
Thank you so much.
