I'm currently sitting at the Sacramento International Airport on my way back to Boston and I just wanted to share a couple of very easy ways to reuse when you're traveling by plane.
1. Solving the 3 oz. liquid problem: I always bring 2 empty reusable travel mugs with me. As soon as I get through security, I fill one up at the water fountain. This saves the plastic bottle waste, not to mention the $2-$3 cost.
2. Not using foam: I use the second travel mug for my coffee on the plane. Almost all airlines still use small foam cups on the flights. Not only am I saving waste, I usually get a lot more coffee than everyone else!
