i am an animal lover they do great thigns for us and i stand up for them when they are mistreated but i want everyone to know just what they are supporting. peta one of the best known animal " rights" groups but are you aware of what you are supporting by supporting peta. people need to know about their unethical actions, they employe convicted felons that have been found guilty of things such as arson and threats of violence. since the last half of 1998 peta has recieved 17 806 animal and has only adopted out 3047 that means that an average of 80% of the animal they have recieved have been killed( number from the years of 1998 to the end of 2005) this is just two examples of what peta does.

did you know that the human society of the united states is the richest animal "rights" they have over 113 million dollars enough to support a shelter in each state yet they dont have a single one nor do they run spay and neuter clincs which are esential to help control populations but they do spend $2 million dollars a year on travelling could you imagine how many shelters alone could benefit from that alone.

all im sayin is understand what you are supporting.continue to stand up for animal rights but relize that there are better organizations to support to achieve better results.

Hey Spanky, thanks for putting that info out there. We've heard those awful things before too. Could you let everyone know where those facts came from, just so we can all read more and see the proof?

consumerfreedom.com
activistcash.com

at petakillsanimals.com you can also findout how to get a banner link that they are supporting to help spread the word all they want is they same thing as myself which is for people to still stand up for animal rights but for us to do it in a responsible way.

Something about this post really bothers me.

In the name of full-disclosure, at the very least, allow me to mention that those sites are all run by the Center for Consumer Freedom which is a lobby for the restaurant industry (amongst others) who are, to be kind, "suspect" even by lobbyist standards.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Center_for_Consumer_Freedom
http://www.consumerdeception.com/

Criticizing any given position or organization to instill uncertainty or doubt to support the status quo (and the restaurant industry) isn't activism, it's re-activism, and it's pretty pathetic.

if you want to take the ultimate stance and let everyone know how much you care for animals and their rights...why don't you become vegan?
no meat, no animal products...nothing.
that is the ultimate stand...and it's nothing to do with an organization...it has to do with you and your beliefs....
so, what do you think? :D
