I just received this email from our friends at Earthjustice.org:
**********************************
Dear Alex,
The Bush administration is poised to remove wolves from the endangered species list and allow the states of Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana to kill more than 80% of the wolves in the northern Rockies. If this occurs, wolves may once again face the brink of extinction after years of recovery. We urgently need your help.

The Wyoming Plan, for example, allows anyone to kill any wolf that wanders outside a small area in the northwest corner of the state. The plan would even target animals who live for most of the year in Yellowstone National Park but wander out in the winter in search of food. Scientists have already warned that a few thousand wolves are necessary to ensure the long-term survival of the species, but the state plans completely ignore the science and go against the will of a solid majority of Americans who support wolf recovery efforts.
Please email your Congress member right away and tell them that you oppose the slaughter of wolves in the northern Rockies! Please take action today! (http://action.earthjustice.org/campaign/wolf_delist_2008_action/wenux3x2am7ntxw?)
Sincerely,

P.S. Please help us spread the word -- tell a friend about this issue!
